Norfolk, VA – Senior military leaders from numerous United States Commands, Allied Command Transformation and Allied Command Operations took part in Allied Warfighter Talks at Command headquarters on November 5th, 2019. The event was co-hosted by Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, General André Lanata, and incoming United States Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General John E. Hyten – currently Commander of United States Strategic Command.
The military leaders engaged in scenario based discussions designed to address military Command and Control and also challenge senior leaders at the strategic level on the need to integrate and synchronize global effects now and in the future. From an Allied Command Transformation perspective, gathering capability requirements and interoperability needs will be incorporated into NATO joint warfare development efforts. The Command ensures maximum interoperability for NATO; gives structure and priority through defence planning and capabilities development, and applies innovation to all activities by leveraging the intellectual horsepower of a vast network of partners.
Formerly referred to as the Regional Commanders Conference, or RCC, 2019 marks the 6th year for this annual event. This event highlights how Allied Command Transformation builds upon the current Alliance strengths while also looking toward the future to identify and explore potential opportunities for NATO and its partners.
